6th Annual Arab Thought Foundation Conference

Manama, Bahrain on December 1-3, 2007

The Arab Thought Foundation FIKR 6 conference convened December 1-3, 2007 in Manama, Bahrain. The theme of the 6th annual conference was The New Arab Economy- Transformations Shaping the Future. The cross-cultural event gathered leaders from 22 Arab countries representing business, technology, government and media to meet with their counterparts from around the globe. Additionally, a special group of Arab youth leaders participated in an interactive Innovation Workshop. The FIKR 6 program sparked a dialogue on the profound changes taking place in the Arab world, and how it was integrating into the larger global view. VHG designed the agenda with a focus on transformation in investments, energy, technology, media and corporate social responsibility. FIKR 6 was co-hosted by His Majesty King Hamad bin Issa Al Khalifa of Bahrain and HRH Prince Khalid Al Faisal, President of The Arab Thought Foundation.
